Microsoft hired doctors to review Aarifa’s condition [Update on Aarifa’s Health ]

A doctor’s team was hired by Microsoft to consult with doctors of Aarifa Karim – the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MSF) – in Pakistan to overview her condition, confirmed Aarifa’s father Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Randhawa.

Randhawa denied media reports of Microsoft owner Bill Gates contacting him personally, although he confirmed that the US doctors have contacted local doctors to speak on the matter.

The team has expressed its satisfaction on the treatment being done at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Lahore, he said.

Randhawa added that Aarifa’s condition is “the same” and she is still on the ventilator.

Update: Youngest MCP Arifa shows signs of life

A few days back, Imposing Headlines reported about the critical condition of 16 years old Miss Arifa Karim [ World's youngest MCP arifa Karim in critical condition ] and we requested our viewers to pray for her.

Now CIO Pakistan reports as of 2 Jan: The New Year spelt some happiness for Arifa Karim’s family as the world’s youngest Microsoft Certified Professional showed some signs of brain activity on New Year’s Eve. “Arifa started showing some brain activity and twitched her fingers, her father Lt-Col. (Retd.) Amjad Karim Randhawa, said. Arifa Karim, now enrolled in an A-Levels college, had been the world’s youngest MCP at only nine years of age back in 2004. 

Arifa suffered a cardiac arrest on December 22, 2011 and is still admitted at the CMH hospital in Lahore in critical condition. Doctors had given up all hope for her survival and in fact contemplated switching off her life support, saying that there was ‘no hope’ for the talented young Pakistani. We pray for her recovery!
