Book about the Fired General McCrystal has a cover of man that looks Like General Petraeus

Hastings book, The Operators: The Wild and Terrifying Inside Story of America's War in Afghanistan, an expanded work on the original story comes out tomorrow, but the jacket illustration is raising some eyebrows.

It appears to show a man wearing the uniform of former Iraq General Petraus, who had been in the Army since 1974 until retiring in September to head the CIA, balancing a glass of amber liquor in one hand and a service pistol in the other.

In those 37-years, the medals and ribbons he accumulated on his uniform may not have been as unique as his fingerprint, but they're close.

It may be added that McCrystal criticized Harmid Karzai, Vice Pres. Biden and President Obama,  which prompted the president to recall McCrystal from Afghanistan and fire him on the spot.

No one is buying Michele Bachmann's book

Michele Bachmann's new book has been on shelves for two weeks now, and that's apparently where it's staying, says a report.

"Core of Conviction" is a 224-page memoir and political manifesto, filled with half-truths and 109 exclamation points. Bachmann's been on a book tour since its release before Black Friday.

On Amazon.com's "Best Sellers in Politics" list, "Core of Conviction" ranked 96th.Incidentally, the book was outpaced by Jesse Ventura's latest, which came in at 91st.

Jobs biography may top Amazon lists

While Steve Jobs biography is making headlines all over the world, critics, reviewers and analysts believe that it may top Amazon's lists and declared as best selling book of 2011.

Written by Walter Isaacson, the book has been selling hotcakes since Monday. In China, the Chinese translation is also said to be receiving very good customer response. The rush for the biography continues despite the release of its digital version that was made available a day prior to the release of actual book.
