Scotland Yard's racism crisis deepens as vile abuse of Asian shop manager is revealed

The racism crisis engulfing Scotland Yard took a dramatic turn last night as an officer was exposed for abusing an Asian takeaway manager.

In an appalling drunken outburst, PC Philip Juhasz, 31, told the Pakistani to ‘go back to your f****** country’. The disgraced officer faces the sack for gross misconduct after being convicted of a racially aggravated public order offence.

But the case raises serious questions about the determination of police to stamp out all traces of racism among their ranks.

Senior black officers in the Metropolitan police said warnings about growing prejudice have been falling on deaf ears for almost a decade.

Time out for Terry

John Terry was removed as England’s captain on Friday while awaiting trial for racial abuse, but he will remain eligible to play for the national team at the European Championships. 

Terry, a Chelsea defender, is the first top soccer player in England to be charged with such a racially aggravated public order offense during a Premier League match in October.

Today 3 February, Pakistan takes on battered England once again in their 3rd Cricket Test match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

For Pakistan, the earlier victories have been encouraging and morale boosting - but any over confidence or faltering on previous performance may rob them of any brighter prospects. The superb performance of Ajmal and Rehman has been match winning - they need to 'do more' in the third test so as not to afford any window of opportunity to the English team to take advantage of.

The pitch at Dubai is same as the previous two pitches and will certainly aid the spinners, much to the distaste of the British batsmen.

Warships Flotilla sent through Strait of Hormuz Heightens Tensions

Britain joined the United States and France in sending a flotilla of warships through the sensitive Strait of Hormuz in a pointed message to the Iranian regime on 22 January.

The Ministry of Defence confirmed that a Royal Navy Type 23 frigate, HMS Argyll, was part of the the US-led carrier group to pass through the waterway, as tensions continued to escalate over Tehran's nuclear programme.

New royal yacht proposal backed by David Cameron

Yesterday, Imposing Headlines shared a post about the proposal of presenting a new royal yacht to the Queen, an 'idea' proposed by the education secretary.

Now the news is that the British PM David Cameron is also supportive of the plans for a new, privately funded royal yacht that will double up as a university of the seas, and provide accommodation for royalty in the ship's stern.

The idea, at one point described by Gove as a gift from the nation to the Queen on her diamond jubilee, also has the backing of the Prince of Wales and Princess Anne, according to letters sent to the prime minister by Willetts.

The £60m yacht has so far found £10m in backing from financial leaders in Canada and an unnamed £5m private donation, as well as an offer by Foyles to contribute £500,000 for books for a library.

Queen's chaplain takes a blonde from the church choir as his third wife

Reverend Canon Andrew Clitherow, senior Church of England cleric and Queen’s chaplain and divorced of his second wife, has taken his third bride, Nicola, a glamorous soprano, from the church choir.

Clitherow, the father of four, less than a year after divorcing his second wife has married Nicola Howard, 44, who has sung worldwide and released several albums. She has moved into the sprawling Georgian vicarage with him.
