Fishermen catch terrifying prehistoric shark

In a rare fish catch, a fishing trawler near Lakes Entrance, Victoria has caught a rare prehistoric shark with 300 teeth among their catch.

The terrifying fish meaures up to two metres long and was caught at 700 metres below sea level. It is being opined that the origin of the shark dates back 80 million years and is eel-like in shape. It has 300 teeth over 25 rows, which allows it to swallow its prey whole.

The Daily Mail reports that the dark brown, eel-like looking creature is a frilled shark, also known as the 'living fossil', and was named for its six pairs of frill-like gills along with its dorsal fins, similar to the predatory fish.

Olympic chiefs ban all food retailers at all game venues from selling chips pressurized by McDonald's

Olympic chiefs have banned all 800 food retailers at the 40 Games venues across Britain from dishing up chips because of 'sponsorship obligations.'

Hundreds of food outlets at Olympic venues have been forced to take chips off the menu

The only loophole in the agreement, announced in a memo to staff, is that chips can be served with fish - safeguarding Britain's most famous dish.

But is seems the bosses have predicted an outrage about the decision, emphasising that the move was not backed by the food retailers. 

The memo reads: 'Due to sponsorship obligations with McDonalds, Locog have instructed the catering team they are no longer allowed to serve chips on their own anywhere within the Olympic park.

Biologists find albino among Brazil dolphins

Brazilian biologists have found an extremely rare example of an albino dolphin among an endangered species that lives off the southern coast of South America, reports Yahoo News.

Toninha (Brazil) - La Plata or Franciscana Dolphin (Argentina and Uruguay)

The research group, based at Univille University in Santa Catarina, said Thursday that it was the first recorded instance of an albino in the pontoporia blainvillei species, a very shy type of dolphin that rarely jumps out of the water. It's known in Brazil as Toninha and in Argentina and Uruguay as the La Plata or Franciscana dolphin.
