Chaos at Heathrow as British airways system crashes

System crash at London's Heathrow airport has created chaos amongst tourists and holidaymakers as flights are delayed and closed.

As per Daily Mail, technical faults have caused unprecedented delays at London's to biggest airports of Heathrow and Gatwick. It is feared that all out going flights will be delayed specially to Athens, Milan, Malta, Glasgow and Dubrovnik.

Britsh Airways in the meanwhile has has admitted on Twitter it is dealing with issues with its check-in system. It is also reported that some passengers were stuck on planes on the runway as they waited for the issue to be resolved.

As per latest reports the system has sine been restored which remained dead for 20 minutes and operations have started as normal.

BA plane makes emergency landing at Heathrow

Visible flames from the engine of the BA plane forced the pilots to make emergency landing at Heathrow.

BA Airbus A319 carrying 75 passengers from London to Oslo was forced to return to the Heathrow  It is speculated that the aircraft ran into flock  of birds.

Eyewitnesses have described hearing 'a blowout' and seeing engine on fire. Pictures from inside aircraft show inspection cover loose on port engine. 'Pictures of the plane flying with smoke coming from it indicate that the aircraft was being powered entirely by the left-hand engine. Most likely there was external damage to both engines.

Passengers' glee as border agency strike SPEEDS UP passport control

As previously reported that due to the Wednesday mass protest strike, the passengers may face difficulties in timely boarding of planes.But much to passengers delight, things turned out to be more efficient and speedier at Heathrow.

As Border Agency bosses were forced to take on regular airport workers to man passport control, delighted passengers said queues had been shorter than normal. The situation was echoed at Dover too as passengers faced apparently normal travel conditions with ferry services 'running well and to time' this morning. No delays or problems reported on ferries at Dover 

400 admin staff were re-deployed with iPads to assist passengers with flight information and free food and water.
