The legendary iconic Sean Conroy Connery is no more. He dies at 90 after leaving many footprints that would never be faded away. He appeared as agent 007 in the series of films on James Bond - a role that befitted his manly stature.

Hailing from Scotland, he made headlines all across the world in his James Bond movies, a role which could never be so befittingly played by Sean could be replicated.  His acting career spanned five decades and he won an Oscar in 1988 for his role in The Untouchables. For his services to the motion pictures, he was also knighted.

007 James Bond Daniel Craig is back in all-black

The new James Bond film has started rolling in Austria as Daniel Craig, the 'current' 007 - James Bond is seen in action in all-black attire.

The first footage from the new James Bond film has been released showing 007 is getting his hands dirty. The final shot of the video sees Bond give a goon a two-handed punch before shooting another dead on top of the snowy mountain. 

Associate producer, Gregg Wilson says, 'We have to deliver an amazing sequence and this is going to be one of the major action sequences of the movie, a jewel in the crown so to speak. It's going to be spectacular and Austria seemed to offer everything that we needed to pull it off.'

007 Skyfall tops US weekend box office

It is James Bond's new movie Skyfall that is making headlines all over the world.

Only in USA, the film has earned a record 87.8 million dollars on its first weekend.

Adding in 2.2 million dollars from Thursday night previews at IMAX and other large-format theaters, Skyfall has taken in 90 million dollars domestically, according to studio estimates Sunday.

That lifts the worldwide total for Skyfall to 518.6 million dollars since it began rolling out overseas in late October, the New York Post reported.

Internationally, the 23rd Bond flick added $89 million this weekend to raise its overseas revenue to $428.6 million.

James Bond souvenirs auction raises $2.6 million

A London sale of James Bond souvenirs to mark the secret agent's 50th silver-screen anniversary has raised over $2.6 million (two million euros), Christie's auction house said Wednesday.

Buyers from 42 countries took part in the auction with all proceeds going to to charity.

The auction took place in two stages, firstly online from September 28 to October 8, and secondly during a party at Christie's auction house on Friday.

Notable guests included actor Roger Moore, who played the famous agent on the big screen, and Judi Dench, who appears in Skyfall, the saga's latest installment which is released on October 24.
