Mark Webber won the Monaco GP for the second time in three years from Nico Rosberg and Fernando Alonso.

The Red Bull driver led from the start and controlled the race, measuring his pace to ensure he stayed ahead.

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton ran third in the early laps but lost out to Ferrari's Alonso and Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel on strategy.

McLaren's Jenson Button had a difficult race, running with backmarkers after a poor start and retiring after a spin.

De Puniet signs for Aspar as second MotoGP CRT rider

BSN reports that  former Pramac Ducati MotoGP rider Randy De Puniet has signed to ride in Jorge Martinez's Aprilia-powered CRT MotoGP team for 2012.

De Puniet, who was let go by Pramac, has spent the last three days circulating on an Aprilia RSV4-powered hybrid with carbon brakes and Bridgestone tyres. His best laptime that is known is a 1'41.5 which would have been good enough for fourth on the grid the last time 990s raced at the track.

Edwards rides his CRT MotoGP bike at Jerez

Former Monster Yamaha MotoGP team leader Colin Edwards has got back on a bike for the first time since his Sepang crash, lapping on the NGM Forward Racing CRT bike at Jerez Wednesday. 

The veteran did a best time of 1'43.9 which compares to a 1'39 for a good 800 lap.

2011 Macau GP: Qualifying halted for a second day by rains

Persistent rain at the former Portugese colony of Macau has meant that the grand prix qualification session which was postponed yesterday and due to run at 7.15am local time Friday has been cancelled.

Suzuki has informed its Team staff Friday that they would not be required for next season. But there is a little chance for some optimists to find Suzuki back on tracks in 2014 - something long ahead. But for now, there wont be any Suzuki in MotoGP.

As reported by BSN, Suzuki crew chief Tom O'Kane had already jumped ship to sit with Andrea Dovizioso at Tech3. 

Suzuki's departure has happened before too when it quit in early 80s and team manager Garry Taylor carried on with backing from British importer Heron until 1987 when Suzuki re-appeared with a full V-four and his team got back their full factory status. So it is goodbye to Suzuki - and let us wait when it reappears, if it is not 2014.
