USA Cuts of UNESCO Funding on Palestine Membership

USA stood true to its words and did not take longer than necessary to cut off funding of UNESCO Monday on Palestine's membership to the UN body. 

US State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland told reporters:

United States had no choice but to halt funding because of longstanding US law, saying Washington would not make a planned $60 million transfer that was due in November. (Reuters)
