Identification of a brain chemical may be a step closer to cure of insomnia

There are some good news fro people suffering from insomnia and looking disparately towards medical science for a wonder-pill to allow them a few hours of sleep. Here some good news for them as scientists have identified a brain chemical that plays a key role in falling asleep and staying awake. The finding raises the prospect of better sleeping pills.

Boston University researcher Subimal Datta is reported as saying:
"The ultimate goal of my research is to deepen the understanding of how sleep is regulated at the cellular level, which could lead to finding the causes and cures for a variety of sleep disorders."
