Rio2016 end amid a colourful ceremony

The Rio2016 Olympic games finally came to an end amid a fanfare and colourful closing ceremony last night. The arena was flashing with colourful lights, smiling and waving athletes who took part in the games and bagged medals.

Like almost always, team USA topped the medal table with 121 medals including 46 gold. England and China had a close encounter with England finally edging by one gold over China to be placed second. China, though had three medals more than the Brits, came third with 26 gold. Russia and Germany were placed 4th and 5th on the medals table.

The next Olympic games will be held in Tokyo, Japan.
