Gingrich angrily rejects marital questions at debate

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich angrily defended himself on Thursday against allegations that he had asked his ex-wife for an open marriage, lashing out in perhaps the most crucial debate yet in the 2012 campaign.

The CNN-sponsored debate got off to a raucous start when moderator John King asked Gingrich to respond to charges put forth by his ex-wife Marianne that he had sought an "open marriage" while having an affair.

"I think the disruptive, vicious, negative nature of the news media makes it harder to govern this country," Gingrich fumed. "I am appalled that you would begin a presidential debate on a topic like that."

Gingrich fails to qualify for Va. primary ballot

[ via Yahoo News ]

Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich failed to qualify for Virginia's Super Tuesday primary ballot, the latest setback for a candidate whose standing in polls has been slipping.
The state party said early Saturday that Gingrich and Texas Gov. Rick Perry had failed to submit the required 10,000 signatures to appear on the March 6 ballot.
Failing to get on the ballot in Virginia, where Gingrich lives, underscores the difficulty first-time national candidates have in preparing for the long haul of a presidential campaign.

"It's Bachmann, Santorum and Perry who are fighting for the rock-ribbed social conservative voter at the caucus. They're the only three active campaigns out there really going after that vote," said Chuck Laudner, an Iowa operative who is running Santorum's effort in the state.

Gingrich once "Embraced" Yasser Arafat - leader of "Invented People"

[ via Huffington Post ] 14 Dec

Today while US presidential candidate Gingrich is making statements about the Palestinians being "Invented People," it was the same man who held hands of Yasser Arafat at the end of the Oslo Conference in September 1993 and offered advice about creating a state for the same group of people he now refers to as inauthentic.

The photograph above shows how men could change for their personal gains. Today, Mr Gingrich needs Isreali support badly to sail through his presdidential campaign, and thus can belittle anyone opposed to Israel to gain sympathies.
