Mayor Embarrasede by Checking Phone at Armed Forces Day Ceremony

The armed forces parades are exclusive events when all attendants and chief guests are to present themselves with honour to honour those who lay down their lives or suffer battle hardships for their country.

But if the chief guest is found checking his/her cell phone when all others are at attention?

Well this is really what happened when the mayor Mo Larkin looking at her phone while on stage at an Armed Forces Day ceremony. And if that was not all - someone took the photo and posted it on the internet to the embarrassment of the lady mayor and the community.

The picture was taken while Cllr Larkin was stood in front of hundreds of spectators in Basildon town centre in Essex on June 29. Soldiers were performing a military salute in front of her as it was taken.
