And the Grammy goes to.Beck

Album of the Year - Beck, Morning Phase

Well the winners have been announced and the coveted Grammy has reached those who deserve it. Many congratulations!!

Here is the winners' list:

Album of the Year - Beck, Morning Phase.

But wait: There was some uproar at the ceremony. When the announcement was marred by Kanye West, who stormed on the stage when Beck was receiving the award for Album Of The Year  and launched into a rant on Beck and the organizers of the Grammy Awards on Sunday night in Los Angeles. Kanye almost repeated his 2009 moment went he famously interrupted Taylor Swift at the VMAs.

  • Best Pop Solo Performance - Happy, Pharrell Williams
  • Best Alternative Music Album - St. Vincent, St. Vincent
  • Best Rock Album - Morning Phase, Beck
  • Best Music Film - 20 Feet From Stardom, Darlene Love, Merry Clayton, Lisa Fischer & Judith Hill
  • Best Music Video - Happy, Pharrell Williams

Daft Punk fetch most Grammy Awards


Draft Punk was seen dominating the 56th annual Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday. 

Get Lucky’ won record of the year and the electronic duo of the France, “Random Access Memories” has astonishingly won album of the year at the awards show. The song features Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams. 

Daft Punk who wore helmet in public, won four successive awards. Pharrell Williams and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have also gained 4 awards for their startling performances. 

In addition, Daft Punk also picked up awards for best dance in an electronica album for “Random Access Memories,” and also won the pop duo in group performance for ‘Get Lucky’, which ultimately earned Williams a trophy. On the other hand, Williams had already 7 nods, but competed with himself and took home 4 awards.




As for the female singers, Lorde's popular hit “Royals” won the record of the year, and was awarded as the best pop solo performance of the year. Lorde commented by saying, “Thank you everyone who has let this song explode, because it’s been mental.”
