The Race to "The Great Indoors" begins


If someone asks any big name in the mobile phones "what is the new trend in maps?" - the answer will be the The Great Indoors. And that is what Nokia, Google and Ericsson are after. The race is on for the Great Indoors.

On Tuesday, Google introduced the latest version of its maps for Android, which will include detailed layouts for Ikea, Macy's, and 18 U.S. airports. 


Then yesterday, Nokia announced that it will be offering its own version of indoor maps using Bluetooth 4.0 as the technology. The mapping is 30 centimeter accurate and can even warn you if you forget your belonging.

Giant Lines found in Google map spotted by satellite in Gobi desert

A Google Maps satellite has spotted a series of bizarre structures during a sweep of the Gobi desert in China. Since their find, internet is hot with questions, opinions and even theories about what these lines could be or what has been their purpose, if any. 

To add to the intrigue, they are located on the borders of Gansu province and Xinjiang in northwestern China - an area that the superpower uses to build military, space and nuclear equipment.
