Australian goes on trial in China on drug-smuggling

An Australian has gone on trial in southern China for allegedly smuggling out 30 Kg of crystal methamphetamine out of the country.

The 25 years Peter Gardner can be executed if found guilty. The accused have reportedly told the court that 'he did not check his luggage.'

In a live online broadcast of the court proceedings on Thursday, Mr Gardner was heard testifying off-screen that he had made "a really big mistake" and brought "a big shame" to his family.





It may be added that China has strict drug laws - anyone found carrying more than 50gm of meth faces a potential death penalty.

Drug sniffing dogs expose two women carrying six kilos of cocaine inside home-made diapers


There is no limit to innovation and ingenuity, even for drug smugglers. And this what two women were trying to do to evade the custom the officials at JFK airport.

Priscilla Pena and Michelle Blassingale, returning to New York's JFK on a JetBlue flight from the Dominican Republic, almost evaded the custom officials at the JFK with 6 kilos of cocaine hidden in their home made diapers under the ir pants - but not the drug sniffing dogs. The dogs who started to go wild when the two women came close, exposed their smuggling bid as a physical search led to their hidden diapers stuffed with cocaine rigged like a girdle around their hind quarters.





Blassingale is being held in jail by a Brooklyn federal judge and Pena has been released on a $150,000 bail bond.

British soldiers jailed for 50 years after smuggling drugs and guns into the UK


A gang of elite British Army soldiers, from the Queen's Royal Hussars, the most senior light cavalry regiment, and the Royal Logistics Corps, who smuggled drugs and guns into the UK have been jailed for a combined total of almost 50 years Friday.

Trooper Lemar Loveless, 26, masterminded the operation to bring a cache of guns, ammunition and £70,000 worth of cocaine through the Channel Tunnel loaded into the back of BMWs.






The pair had five guns, including two Walther PPKs favoured by fictional spy James Bond, along with three silencers, ammunition, and half a kilo of cocaine.

Lemar Loveless had discharged himself from the Queen's Royal Hussars, just days before his arrest.

British housewife facing death penalty for 'smuggling cocaine worth £1.6million from Bangkok to Bali'

Lindsay Sandiford, 56, a British woman is facing the death penalty for allegedly trafficking cocaine worth £1.6 million into Bali has been branded a 'neighbour from hell'.

Lindsay was allegedly caught with 4.7kg of the Class A drug hidden in a suitcase when she landed on the Indonesian island.

The mother-of-two is currently understood to be living in Redcar, Cleveland, but was previously a tenant in a £275,000 detached property in Cheltenham, Glos.


Yesterday neighbours described how she outwardly appeared to be a respectable middle class mother - but was actually a nuisance neighbour.
