Misbah becomes oldest player in history to hit a century

Pakistan's disputed cricket team skipper Misbah, oft criticized for his age, has become the oldest man in the history of cricket to score a century at the age of 42 at Lords against England in the first test match being played between the two countries these days.

It may be a coincidence that this is Misbah's first ever century playing against England in England. He thus becomes the sixth oldest player in Test history to make a century. After scoring his 100, Misbah performed several press-ups, just as 73-year-old actor Jack Palance did when winning the Best Supporting Actor Oscar at the 1992 Academy awards.

It may be recalled that Misbah equaled West Indies' Vivian Richards´s then world record for the fastest-ever Test century in mere 56-ball hundred against Australia in Abu Dhabi in 2014 :a mark surpassed by Brendon McCullum´s 54-ball hundred for New Zealand against Australia at Christchurch in February.

Jordan Spieth crowned youngest Masters winner since Tiger Woods

Jordan seen celebrating his feat on the 18th green

Icons and titles do not belong to anyone forever - and that is exactly what Jordan Spieth did as he was crowned youngest Masters winner since Tiger Woods.

Aged just 21 from Texas and now the world number two golfer after Rory McIlroy, Spieth was awarded the coveted green jacket for his 18-under par with a final score of 70 - the same score that gave Woods his first green-jacket 18 years ago - and setting new standards for the 36 and 54 holes.

Spieth has now become the first wire-to-wire winner at the Masters since Raymond Floyd in 1976, and the second youngest Masters winner of all time.
