While the incidence of breast cancer is on the increase, thanks to scientists and researchers for continuing to find the best antidote for this deathly disease. Now it has come to light that a taking a daily dose of medicines actually meant to lower cholesterol could help arrest the chancing of breast cancer recurrence.

Researcher have found out that high cholesterol is a likely key factor in the development of breast cancer. The research has been an outcome of efforts by US and Danish researchers, who monitored nearly 19,000 Danish women and found those on simvastatin were 30 per cent were less likely to see their tumour return than those who had taken no form of statin..
