From 16-18 September some 30 mountain bikers from around the world participated in a race on their mountain bikes starting from an elevation of some 9,000 feet and culminating at 13,500 feet. The Himalayas International Mountainbike Race 2011 was recently organized as a fund raising campaign to build school for the children effected by the massive earthquake that rocked Pakistan in October 2008.
