99% to stage Occupy Islamabad Rally on Wednesday

The Anti-Capitalist Committee and Labour Party Pakistan has also decided to join the 99% around the world to stage a "Occupy Islamabad" rally Wednesday. The rally will also be joined in by group of political workers and representatives of trade and student unions. Organizers of the event said the main objective of the rally was to draw attention of the government to capitalism with reference to the devastating impact of privatization and restructuring of state enterprises. The rally will also highlight the impact on World Bank-funded mega water projects such as the LBOD (Left Bank Outfall Drain) and Taunsa Barrage, deterioration of public services like health and education and an unusual increase in prices of basic amenities.
