To commemorate the Queen Elizabeth II's visit to Australia, the Australia has unveiled the world's biggest gold coin. The gigantic coin weighs 1,000 kg and has been produced by the Perth Mint.
The diameter of the coin is almost 80 cm and its thickness is 12 cm. The coin shows Red Kangaroo on one side and the Queen's profile on the other side. The coin has a value of Australian $ 53.5 million, equivalent to US $ 55 million, while the denomination of the coin is Australian $ 1 million.
The unveiling of the coin coincides with the on-going Commonwealth Countries' heads of the government conference at Perth.
