Iron Lady Claimed £500,000 Expenses for Public Duties

Margret Thatcher, commonly referred to as the Iron Lady for her tough policies and stand on international and national issues when she was the British PM, is said to have claimed more than £ 500,000 from the tax payers funded allowance for performance of public duties. With such enormous claims, she tops the list of all other former prime ministers during the past five years.


The public duties cost allowance is maintained by the Cabinet Office. Besides the Iron Lady, names of other prime minsters have also been revealed along with the claims they have made in last five year. Read full story for details.
