According to some reports, Nokia is developing a new Linux based platform, called Meltemi to power its cell phones. The speculated decision comes after Nokia abandoned its Symbian platform and MeeGo. The S40 handsets are going to be equipped with the new platform, which will focus on feature phones and will be separate from company's plans to produce smartphones using Microsofot's Windows Mobile platform.
