A recent research study by University of Australia has concluded that diets rich in protein, like meat, eggs and fish, have more filling effect and thus curb over eating and help in maintaining weight. The research group asked for volunteers and gave them meals with varying percentages of protein. After the meals, volunteers with lesser count of protein felt hungry two hours after the meals, while those took meals with higher percentage of protein took longer time to feel the desire for food.
