Britain's worst ever motorway crash

Full Story: 702 ABC Sydney  6 November 2011

In what is being termed as Britain's worst ever motorway crash Friday, 34 vehicles crashed in foggy and wet conditions on the M5 motorway near Taunton in south-west England. The rescue teams are still combing through charred metal littering the carriageway.

The crashed pile up triggered a huge fireball and killed at least seven people. The inferno reduced vehicles to cinders and leaving twisted, fire-blackened metal scattered across the carriageway.
