Chinese people's love for fresh fish right from the water tank while on one hand is draining Chinese indigenous resources, it is on other hand making people prosperous far away in Sumatra, Indonesia by boosting their fish trade with China.
Since the prices of river reef fish has multiplied manifold due to the drying up of resources in Chinese seas and Chinese customers ready to pay far higher prices for fresh fish, fish from as far away as Sumatra, Indonesia is being imported to satisfy the Chinese appetite and swell the pockets of Indonesian fishermen with dollars.
