Republican Huntsman to quit presidential race

Republican presidential hopeful Jon Huntsman has told aides he intends to drop out of the White House race, The New York Times reported on Sunday.

Huntsman, who has been lagging in opinion polls, made plans to make an announcement as early as Monday.
