Lubna Agha, a leading Pakistani artist, expired in her home in Boston, Massachusetts, on May 6.
Lubna was born in 1949 and graduated from the Karachi School of Arts in 1967.
At a very young age she became one of the most recognised painters in the country. She won awards and held several exhibitions, including one-person shows, in Pakistan, the US, the UK, and Japan.
Her latest work, deeply inspired by Islamic architecture and its elegant craftsmanship, was exhibited at the Gardiner Art Gallery in Oklahoma in February this year.
