Today, after some 16 days since the Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 went missing with 239 on-board, it has finally been announced by the Malaysian prime minster that the ill-fated aircraft ended its journey south west of Australia in the Indian Ocean.
The news finally puts an end to all speculations as the analysis of the available data has been carried out by UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch and Inmarsat.
The search was diverted to the southern Indian Ocean when an Australian Air Force plane spotted objects large enough to be part of the ill-fated aircraft. However so far no physical contact with the debris has been made due to bad weather and a race is now on to reach the debris earlier than others.

Now that the announcement has been made, the only solace for the relatives of the passenger on-board the Boeing 777 would be to have their bodies found – if this could be done somehow.
