In a tit for tat move on Pope Francis' genocide claim, Turkey has recalled his envoy from Vatican.

It may be added that Armenia claims that up to 1.5 million people were killed by Ottoman forces in 1915 - a claim always refuted by Turkey which has disputed that figure and said the deaths were part of a civil conflict triggered by WW1.
