Fanatic Hindu activists force ICC to withdraw Pakistani umpire from India-South Africa series

The rising Hindu fanatic force of the Shiv Sehna has threatened with dire consequences if Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar was kept in India-South Africa cricket series.

International Cricket Council(ICC) has therefore withdrawn Aleem Dar from the series on security concerns. Aleem is a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires.

Meanwhile two top Pakistani ex-cricketer turned commentator and analysts Wasim Akram and Shoaib have also decided to leave India on security concerns and threats from Hindu fanatics.

It may be added that the action by ICC followed when a group of activists of India's far-right political group Shiv Sena attacked the headquarters of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), just before Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan was to meet BCCI chief Shashank Manohar to discuss a bilateral series in December.
