2011 Macau GP: Rutter breaks Haslam record

"British superbike veteran Michael Rutter made Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix history Sunday by taking a seventh victory on the famous Guia street circuit, bettering the existing record he had shared with fellow legend Ron Haslam since 2005," reports BSN.

Rutter, aboard the Riders Ducati proved why he is the greatest rider the event has ever known in the 10-lap race, winning by a margin of 4.772 seconds and setting the fastest lap of the race.

2011 Macau GP: Finally the qualifying round

The qualifying round of 2011 Macau GP, twice postponed  by rains, finally underwent Saturday morning.

Riders Ducati man Michael Rutter blitzed the qualifying session finishing three seconds ahead of John McGuinness and four ahead of Ian Hutchinson.

2011 Macau GP: Qualifying halted for a second day by rains

Persistent rain at the former Portugese colony of Macau has meant that the grand prix qualification session which was postponed yesterday and due to run at 7.15am local time Friday has been cancelled.

The holding of the 45th bike race is now in serious jeopardy due to the sheer number of others races that have to be run.

2011 Macau GP: Rain postpones qualifying

Persistent rain has forced Macau Grand Prix organisers to call off the already rescheduled qualifying session Thursday. The conditions were "far too treacherous" on the 3.8-mile roads circuit.

This latest cancellation comes on the back of the first session being called off yesterday due to wet weather, says BSN.
