BBC Staff being Trained to "Correctly" Announce Queen's Death News

Full Story: Mail Online October 30, 2011

Fashion faux pas: Sissons was later criticised for not wearing a black tie as he announced the death of the Queen Mother

Although the Queen may not like the idea, but the BBC staff are being trained on the correct way to report the Queen's death in a bid to avoid another embarrassing gaffe. It may be recalled that BBC was severely criticized in the manner the death news of the Queen Mothers was announced. At that time, Peter Sissons went on air in a grey suit and burgundy tie. His attire created quite a stir among people in mourning.

Now BBC staff have been reported to have been shown mock videos featuring Huw Edwards announcing that the Queen has passed away, at BBC's College Of Journalism.
