It may come as a shock and utter surprise that some 30,000 girls have been forced into marriages by families in USA, specially with older men to obtain financial benefits. The study compiled by a non-profit Tahirih Justice Center brings about the cases of the forced or suspected forced marriages to avoid losing face for the family name. In one case the husband of a 13 years girl enrolled her in a school portraying himself as her father and then raping her everyday when she came home.
