When I was a kid, I saw a movie "Around the World in 80 Days." That was long time ago and with the advancement in travel facilities, the time should now have compressed to days. But that costs lot of money. A Canadian however, still ventured to go around the world and completed his trip in 11 years. Amazing, isnt it? Jean Beliveau left Montreal on the day of his 45th birthday - August 18, 2000 - after his small sign business went bankrupt. He decided to run around the world to try to escape the pain. He came back this Sunday, after 11 years and told a cheering crowd that his goal was to promote peace. His journey was 75,000 kilometers (46,600 miles) long across 64 countries. Besides his mother, his longtime girlfriend Luce Archambault, who offered Beliveau emotional and financial support throughout his journey, and his two children from a previous marriage were also on hand for the celebration.
