A mother from New South Wales, Australia, has sued country's top four banks for a possible role in money laundering from her son's $200,000 eBay scam that allowed him a $6,000 a day lifestyle. Her son since 2007, when only 14, had been making money on eBay by selling non-existent gadgets, by allegedly deceiving the Commonwealth Bank into opening an account along with a friend pretending to be his guardian.
