A sad day for car racers when they watched with horror car of Dan Wheldon being ensnarled in a fiery 15-car pileup, then flew over another vehicle and landed just outside turn 2 this Sunday in Las Vegas. The 33 years old racer and Indianapolis 500 winner could not succumb the accident and died. Three other drivers were also hurt in the pileup during Lap 11. In his honor, drivers, many sobbing openly, took part in a five-lap salute around the 1.5-mile oval.
