We have heard a lot abut depletion of Ozone layer over our earth's atmosphere. However, there is evidence that Ozone layer over the Arctic has been damaged. Scientists have termed this noticeable loss as the Arctic Ozone Hole, in an article issued on October 2 by the journal Nature. The study shows that at altitudes of about 18 to 20 kilometers, more than 80 percent of the ozone present in January had been chemically destroyed by late March.
