Global Refugee Problem - an unmanageable task

Full Story: One World Group

The world at preset is torn apart in conflicts, mutinies, protests and war on terror. This has resulted in migration of large number of people from their homes to safer places, whether inside their own countries or across the borders in neighboring countries. Even due to the ongoing useless war on terror, people have become IDPs in their own countries, specially in Pakistan.

The enormity of the task to handle more than 43 million refuges world wide has made it very difficult for the UN to handle this gigantic human problem, as confessed by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. Speaking at the UNHCR's governing Executive Committee in Geneva, Mr Guterres said that international community needs to prevent conflicts to bring about a climate change lest the refugee problem becomes unmanageable.
