After days of nervousness, panic is started to be seen as thousands are seeing leaving, or rather fleeing, Bangkok Thursday, as governor warns of coming of massive water. The dikes protecting the city have now been alarmingly threatening by rising flood waters.
Meanwhile the Thai government has announced a five-day holiday with effect from Thursday today so that residents of city, specially from the three northern districts could evacuate in order rather than panicking. The city's main Chao Phraya river is likely to “overflow its defenses on Saturday, when high tides are expected to merge with the heavy run-off from further north,” reports Guardian.
