Finally there is a date announced for Sony's Play Station Vita: Gamers were relieved to hear the news broken by Sony CEO Jack Tretton at the Web 2.0 Summit. The final date is 22 February 2012. The date is almost two months after Sony's powerhouse gaming portable goes on sale in Japan. The Vita will ship simultaneously in the United States, Canada, Latin America and Europe, says Tretton. The likely price tag is $299 with Wi-Fi and 3G and $249 for Wi-Fi only.
