Surprised at the caption? Well not after reading the full story that explains the origin of some of the ridiculous sports mascots, which many love and hate at the same time. These mascots look unusual to many, but they continue to support the teams and sports organizations they belong to.
For example the Texas Christian University call their mascot a Horned Frog since 1897, which in fact is a thorny lizard and not a frog by any means.
