Sony is withdrawing from the market of 1.6 million LCD TVs in the line ' Bravia 'following several incidents of overheating of TV sets, a spokesman for the Sony said on Wednesday. There have been several reported cases of TV sets emitting smoke, although not injuries or accidents have occurred. The excessive overheating may cause partial melting of upper part of the TV, besides internal damage to ICs.
