On the dreadful morning of 8th October 2005, a massive earthquake jolted the northern areas of Pakistan and parts of Azad Kashmir early in the morning at 8:52 and within seconds almost a 100,000 people perished and millions became homeless. Today, on the 6th anniversary of this horrific calamity, those who perished are remembered. One-minute silence was observed at 8.52 am to pay homage to the victims during which the traffic came to a standstill. Read full story and related links for details.
