Rubber Bullets to be used if police officers attacked by student protesters
Police in London has been allowed to use rubber bullets against student protesters planned for Tuesday, if they attack police officers. The use of rubber bullets has been allowed for the first time on the British mainland to arrest violence which may erupt during the students protest rallies.

As per a statement by Scotland Yard "The baton rounds have been authorised for a student fees march in London amid fears it could be hijacked by anarchists and troublemakers." I t may be added that baton gun rounds have never been used on the British mainland, but they have been linked to deaths in Northern Ireland.
