In a major shift of policy, India is undertaking an overhaul of its outdated defence equipment as its priorities shift to China from its traditional arch rival Pakistan, reports Reuters.
The development comes in the wake of China reinforcement of 3,500-km (2,200-mile) shared but disputed border with India through the Himalayas.
India is the world's largest arms importer with plans to spend $100 billion on weapons over the next decade.
