Although Apples has not announced the release date of iPhone 5, it hasn't stopped opportunistic sellers on one Chinese online bidding site cashing in on demand for the new smartphone.
Sellers on Taobao are advertising the phones for up to 7,500 yuan, complete with mock-up pictures and purported technical specifications, and already accepting pre-orders.
Some are taking deposits of around 1,000 yuan (£100) for the new phone, but one seller, 'Dahai99888', who started accepting pre-orders this week, is asking for full payment upfront, at a 6,999 yuan (around £700).
