Manchester airport will ditch these scanners when a trial of their use comes to an end next month.
The machines will be replaced by five next generation ‘privacy-friendly’ scanners because the European Commission has not approved them for permanent use.
Critics said the machines, which display graphic x-ray style images, invaded passenger privacy.
