Pakistan beat India by 5 wickets in the warm up match for the forthcoming ICC T20I championship starting 18 September Tuesday, in sensational and exciting last over finish match at Colombo.
India, batting first gave a target of 186 to Pakistan to chase. Pakistan lost five wickets, including that of Shahid Afridi for duck. Thereafter, the run chase became harder and difficult to achieve. But Kamran Akmal lived up to his superb batting by scoring 92 (50), not out, bringing victory for Pakistan.
Shoaib Malik also played very well today and matched the excellent batting of Kamran and added 37 valuable runs, including two sixes that helped Kamran to hit a final sixer to win over the Indians. Shoaib hit a six on the last ball of Balaji. While Kamran hit a six on the first ball of the last over bowled by Irfan.
Kamran would surely be nominated as the man of the match for his superb 92 not out that brought victory for Pakistan and cooled of the pressure that India mounted on Pakistan by giving a handsome target of 186 runs to achieve.
