Pakistan beat Ireland by 7 Wickets to face Australia in ICC World Cup quarters

In a sensational and crucial Pool B match, Pakistan knocked out Ireland of the race to the quarterfinals of the ongoing ICC World Cup cricket today.

Ireland batting first were all out for 237, thanks to a century by Ireland's captain William Porterfield (107).





Respondiong to the target of 238, Pakistan's wicket keeper Sarfraz's first ever century, and Pakistan's first too in the ongoing tournament, made Pakistan win by seven wickets. His ton was supported by Shehzad's impressive 63.

Pakistan now plays Australia on Friday, 20 March at Adelaide.
