UK's coronavirus outbreak may overtake Italy and France


Although the Queen motivated the British to face the coronavirus outbreak with resilience in her nationwide address, the statistics show a worrisome trend and experts fear that UK may overtake Italy and France in number of patients and fatalities too.

Daily Mail reports that worrying graphic suggests that three weeks since Britain hit 50 deaths it is in danger of being in a worse state than 'Europe's epicentre' was at the same point.





In the last 24 hours, number of UK  deaths by 621 to 4,934 today, including 29 patients without any underlying health conditions and the level of infections has risen sharply by almost 60 per cent, from 5,903 to 47,806 - the largest daily increase.

The Department of Health also said that, as of 9 am on Sunday, a total of 195,524 people have been tested, up from 183,190 the previous day - pushing the amount of tests done daily to more than 12,000.
